inspiration comes
when the seasons right

for some the holidays are frequent
for others, inspiration is light

but being merry
can be here
constant
always
full of cheer

the holidays really are for us
to bring us closer to loved ones

to sing noel
and silent night
and think about
the true Light

it's Christmas time
'the happiest season of all'

time when the world falls in love
and songs you hear really do bring good cheer

time to think
about why we celebrate
the birth
the day
the reason why we wait

time to give more than to receive
and to count, our endless blessings

to shop today
and give tomorrow
to fill with joy
and not with sorrow

this season what will you give?
will it be love? will it be gifts?
maybe you'll choose to give of possessions
unwanted toys or old concessions
maybe you'll choose to give of your time
to help wrap presents or to help find.

but choose to give.

if you don't have money
if you don't have time
give of yourself
this Christmas time

for that is why we celebrate
and sing and laugh and contemplate

it is His life we reflect on today
remember Him, His life, the way
as you celebrate this Christmas day
